Dad passed away on Friday morning. He fought with cancer for the better part of a year, and throughout, he remained positive, hopeful, and even maintained his sense of humour.
This was taken in South Australia, and will remain one of my fondest memories of our time together, driving through hours of open plains and talking about nothing in particular, but just enjoying each other's company.
He was the most important man in my life, and he was the reason I picked up a camera in the first place. His wit, his warmth and honesty touched everyone he knew, both as a Doctor, and as a father.
He passed on a beautiful day. The sky was clear, there was a breeze blowing and the sun was warm. Just the way he loved.
