Hazel restaurant, by Mulberry group, straddles two levels of the historic Richard Allen & Sons building. With a dedicated bar and casual eatery downstairs, while upstairs a Manhattan loft inspired luxe dining space gives way to Melbourne’s most impressive open plan kitchen.

Dishes are produce focused, with Common Ground Project providing the bulk of fresh fruits and vegetables. The menu is in lockstep with the seasons to make the most of the locally grown organics. Meats are cooked over flame, and in-house cheese and bread making is standard.
